Anne Zemo

Operations Manager

Ann is passionate about ensuring the highest standards of care and support are provided to the residents of both Greenslopes and Clayfield Houses. She is a champion for those who need a spokesperson. 

​

Ann has been in the supported accommodation industry since 2013 when she joined the Clayfield House team. She enjoys her role as every day she makes a difference by ‘giving a voice’ to those who cannot or do not speak for themselves. Ann has a special interest in supporting residents with mental illness, acquired brain injuries and intellectual disabilities.

 

Ann has worked in the Health and Support Industries since the early 2000’s in both Australia and the USA. Ann started her career training the police to work with victims of crime. She was in this role for 10 years and in this time she worked within the prison system to rehabilitate offenders.

​

Ann has also worked as a Counsellor and Health Educator for Respect Inc. (formerly known as Self-Health for Queensland Workers in the Sex Industry – SQWISI). In this role, Ann was responsible for advocating with the many facets of QLD Health for her clients to ensure they were receiving the best possible care.

​

Thereafter Ann managed an optometrist business with 15 staff (including 7 doctors) across two sites. In this role she learnt new skills including people management and understanding people with eyesight-related disability or injury. She was responsible for the day-to-day running and administration of the clinics.

​

Additionally, Ann has experience working as a counsellor and educator for the Victims of Crime Association Queensland (VOCA).

Justin McNellie

House Manager

For the past 11 years, Justin has worked within the disability and mental health sector. During this time Justin has strived and continues to strive to bring quality of life and community inclusion for the people he works with. 

 

During Justin’s time in the industry, Justin has gained a great deal of experience working with people presenting with a varying range of issues Including high behavioural, high medical, intellectual and physical disabilities. 

 

Justin is passionate about the role he plays in people’s lives and considers it a privilege to be able to support people in their times of need and day to day lives.

 

Justin has also worked within Respite Services, Hydrotherapy Services and Recreation Service.
