Ann has worked in the Health and Support Industries since the early 2000’s in both Australia and the USA. Ann started her career training the police to work with victims of crime. She was in this role for 10 years and in this time she worked within the prison system to rehabilitate offenders.

Ann has also worked as a Counsellor and Health Educator for Respect Inc. (formerly known as Self-Health for Queensland Workers in the Sex Industry – SQWISI). In this role, Ann was responsible for advocating with the many facets of QLD Health for her clients to ensure they were receiving the best possible care.

Thereafter Ann managed an optometrist business with 15 staff (including 7 doctors) across two sites. In this role she learnt new skills including people management and understanding people with eyesight-related disability or injury.
